MOSCOW, December 20 (Itar-Tass) — Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said he does not come against the capital be patrolled by Cossacks.
In an interview with the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper on Thursday, Sobyanin said, “Moscow has voluntary people’s guard that involve about 15,000 people. Cossacks have also the right to patrol streets as people’s guard.”
According to the Moscow mayor, a total of 57 Cossacks are enlisted in the city people’s guard. “This is a pitiful number. There is nothing in them. As other residents, they should help ensure order in the city,” Sobyanin said.
