MOSCOW, December 19 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia invariably advocates the soonest possible resolution of the crisis in Syria on the basis of the Geneva Communique, the Russian president’s special representative for the Middle East and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said after a meeting with Syrian Ambassador in Moscow Riyad Haddad on Wednesday, December 19.
At the meeting, initiated by the Syrian diplomat, Bogdanov “reiterated the principled and unchangeable position in favour of the soonest possible resolution of the Syrian crisis on the basis of the communique adopted by consensus at a ministerial meeting of the Action Group for Syria in Geneva on June 30,” the Foreign Ministry said.
