MOSCOW, December 19 (Itar-Tass) — The Collective Security Treaty Organisation's summit has opened in the Kremlin.
President Vledimir Putin greeted the leaders of the CSTO countries the presidents of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, of Armenia - Serzh Sargsyan, of Belarus – Alexander Lukashenko, of Tajikistan – Emomali Rakhmon and of Kazakhstan – Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The opening ceremony was held in the Green Parlour of the Grand Kremlin Palace.
After that the leaders moved to the Hall of Saint Catherine and began talks in the narrow format, in which CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha is taking part.
Later in the day the CSTO Council will meet in session. All in all Putin will hold three meetings - of the CSTO, the EurAsEC, the Interstate Council and the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
