Wedding shooting culprit gets 2-year suspended sentence

Prosecutors charged Nabizade under Article 2123, Part 3 "hooliganism with use of weapon"

MOSCOW, December 19 (Itar-Tass) — Moscow's Nikulino court gave a two-year suspended sentence to Seimur Nabizade, 18, who fired his non-lethal pistol several times from a wedding motorcade in Moscow last month, a court official told Itar-Tass.

"The court found Nabizade guilty and gave him a two-year suspended sentence," she said.

Prosecutors charged Nabizade under Article 2123, Part 3 /"hooliganism with use of weapon"/.

On November12, he was invited to his relative's wedding. As the weeding motorcade was driving out of a neighborhood in Vernardsky Prospekt, Nabizade opened fire with his non-lethal Rubber pistol. He fired at least five shots, thus disrupting public order and endangering the life and health of people nearby, police said.
