MOSCOW, December 18 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian Emergencies Ministry has mapped out top priorities of its activity in 2013.

The ministry will focus on the development of high technologies and robotics, which will operate in such conditions that may be dangerous for people, Russian Emergencies Minsiter Vladimir Puchkov for a news conference on Tuesday.

“The second matter is a switch over for the format of emergencies prevention and control over risks,” the minister said, adding, “The third task is to design new technologies for the formation of control systems.”

Touching upon the fourth task, Puchkov mentioned development and implementation of new technologies in the sphere of fire safety and population protection, introduction of modern approaches to the training of all categories of the population. “First of all, it is a subject to the heads of the local self-government structures,” the Russian emergencies minister said.
