BUCHAREST, December 10 (Itar-Tass) — The Social Liberal Union (USL), headed by Premier Victor Ponta and Senate Speaker Crin Antonescu, won a convincing victory in Sunday's parliamentary elections.

According to exit poll findings that were made public at the close of the polling by major sociological centers of Romania, the ruling coalition polled, by various estimates, from 54 to 57 percent of the vote, which enables it to control a parliamentary majority.
