Uzbek national sentenced to life in Moscow reg for murder of woman and her 11-month baby

The court obliged the man to pay a compensation of 1.5 million roubles to the woman’s husband and a penalty of 50,000 roubles

MOSCOW, December 7 (Itar-Tass) —— An Uzbek national has been sentenced to life in prison for a murder of an eleven-month infant and his mother in the Moscow region.

The Moscow Region Court found Boburmirzo Soliyev guilty of murdering two persons, including a minor and of robbery, the court’s press service reported on Friday. Apart from that, the court obliged the man to pay a compensation of 1.5 million roubles to the woman’s husband and a penalty of 50,000 roubles.

The crime was committed on November 8, 2011 in the Mytishchi district of the Moscow region. The woman was having a walk with the baby when Soliyev demanded that she should take the baby out of the pram. The man was heavily drunk and attacked and strangled the young woman. Then, he took the infant out of the pram, hit him against a tree and threw him onto the ground. He stole a mobile phone from the dead woman and later sold it.

Soliyev’s guilt was completely established although he did not admit it.
