Three passenger trains delayed after accident at railway crossing in Tatarstan

Two passengers and a driver were killed when a train hit a GAZelle minivan

MOSCOW, December 6 (Itar-Tass) — Three passenger trains have been delayed in the republic of Tatarstan after a diesel locomotive rammed a GAZelle minivan at an unregulated railway crossing, a spokesman for the Gorkovskaya Railway told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

According to the spokesman, the accident took place at the railway section between Kurkachi and Biryuli at 04:35 a.m. Moscow time. Two GAZelle passengers and the driver were killed.

Apart from passenger trains, eight commuter trains were also delayed because of the accident.
