Organizing Committee of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum holds session

The 21st St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held from June 1-3, 2017.

As part of preparations for SPIEF 2017, the Organizing Committee met on November 16, 2016 under the leadership of Committee Chairman, Russian Deputy Prime Minister, and Government Chief of Staff Sergei Prikhodko.

During the discussion, it was agreed that the traditional formats and events which take place on the margins of the Forum should be retained, including the Russian Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Forum, the B20 Regional Consultation Forum, and the SCO and BRICS Business Forums, and that events under the ASEAN banner be held in 2017.

The Organizing Committee also discussed issues relating to the development of the Forum programme, and approved the Committee’s plan of action and key dates in the preparations for SPIEF 2017. Members of the Committee devoted particular attention to the promotional programme for SPIEF, which includes SPIEF sessions within Russia and abroad.
