GUANGZHOU, China, Oct. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ - Leading enterprises from China and around the globe will soon gather in Guangzhou for the 118th Canton Fair, set to kick off on October 15. Thanks to a whole raft of upgrades and new initiatives, the latest installment of China's most prestigious trade fair promises to be more diverse, user-friendly and profitable than ever.
As a window for the Chinese marketplace, the Canton Fair is an unrivalled platform for generating business. This October more products than ever will be on display at the event, with 25 sections such as gardening, lighting and outdoor spa subdivided into smaller zones. For the first time ever, the Canton Fair will also promote the products of exhibitors through its full suite of media platforms.
With close to 1,000 stands, the 118th Canton Fair will boast a much enlarged International Pavilion. Australian National Pavilion will exhibit here for the first time, while a host of countries - such as the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom and Denmark - will also be strongly represented.
Rubbing shoulders in the home appliance and textile exhibition areas, international and Chinese companies will continue to play their part in boosting import-export figures, while the Canton Fair Product Design & Trade Promotion Center will work to raise the level of innovation and design excellence of exhibitors further.
The 118th Canton Fair will be the smartest and most technologically sophisticated session ever. Organizers have introduced a smartphone-based service, enhancing the functionality of the event's WeChat account and official website.
Data collection and analysis has also been strengthened, with a new online smart centre providing invaluable real-time information on purchasing trends. Facebook has been used to learn more about buyers and identify their needs, and to promote the Fair itself.
In line with China's One Belt, One Road initiative (OBOR), promotional video link activities have been conducted in 8 OBOR countries, while similar events have been staged in 15 other countries. The Fair's various invitational programs and discounted ticket partnership with China Southern Airlines continue to prove highly successful.
Last but not least, the 118th Canton Fair will be clean, green and safe, with 80 percent of booths using green technology.
