Nanning has become a transportation junction with high-speed rail connecting to 13 provinces and municipalities in China.
Cross-border retail e-commerce has begun after Nanning was chosen as the cross-border trade e-commerce service pilot city in China in August 2014.
The China-ASEAN Information Harbor Forum inaugurated on September 13 in Nanning and the attendees had profound talks and exchanges on the development of cross-border e-commerce.
Nanning has planned a zone with an area of 33 km2 in Wuxiang New District as the site of the China-ASEAN Information Harbor Nanning Base, which will help in building Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road as well as creating benefit for both China and ASEAN people.
