Interrail Reveals Winner of the Destination Award 2015

Heidelberg is Crowned Interrail Destination of the Year

UTRECHT, The Netherlands, March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- With over a quarter of the overall votes, Heidelberg was announced as the winner of Interrail's own Travellers' Choice Award today, in which 15 European cities competed to be become the Interrail Destination of the Year 2015. Thessaloniki, Lisbon, Antwerp and Bologna all secured a place as one of the top five most popular destinations, as voted for by over 7000 Facebook fans.  

For the past four weeks, travellers voted for their favourite European destinations on Interrail's official Facebook page. As the ambassador for unlimited travel across Europe, Interrail had previously shortlisted 15 European cities based on thousands of reviews and opinions of Interrailers across Europe taking into account their attractiveness and high value for money.

With the Destination Award, Interrail presented its travel community a diverse mix of unique cities from all across the European continent aiming to inspire travellers to further explore the variety that Europe has to offer.
