PLYMOUTH, Michigan, March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Johnson Controls has been honored with two awards from General Motors - the 2014 General Motors Supplier of the Year Award and the Overdrive Award.
This is the fifth time Johnson Controls has been recognized by General Motors for top performance. Suppliers were honored during the automaker's 23rd annual event in Detroit on March 5.
Supplier of the Year award winners are recognized for "going above and beyond", and delivering innovative technology, superior quality, timely crisis management and competitive cost solutions.
The Overdrive Award recognizes suppliers with extraordinary leadership in cultural change and commitment initiatives that drove exceptional business results for General Motors. Johnson Controls received this award for its consistent collaboration with
General Motors to execute continuous improvement and deliver sustainable value in General Motors' seats.
