MOSCOW, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlas of municipal practices including the best cases of the local government from 65 municipalities has been presented at the conference "100 Steps to a favorable investment climate". The manual should be a landmark in developing and refining the standards of local government.
The Atlas is presented the examples of good practices of local governments, aimed to the develop and support small and medium-sized businesses at the municipal level.
CEO of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) Andrei Nikitin: "The appearance of the Atlas was preceded by painstaking work: we have carefully selected the most productive examples of interaction between municipal authorities and businesses, revealed the secrets of success and analyzed them for possible replicability. We do not aim to fit all municipalities under one standard: our goal is to give a set of tips and advices for the choice."
Among the good practices included in the Atlas:
All the above practices include the examples of their implementation on the territory of several municipalities and consolidated recommendations, including a minimum set of measures for efficient replication.
Case studies presented in the Atlas can be recommended for implementation in all municipalities, regardless of their type, because their realization is confirmed by the real examples.
Atlas of municipal practices is the new step in the chain of the ASI projects aimed to improve the investment climate in the country. The systematic work to improve the business environment is now held at all levels of government: the federal (National Business Initiative), the regional (Regional Investment Standard) and the municipal (Atlas of municipal practices).
