ASI Awards The Regions Improving Business Climate

MOSCOW, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- December 17, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) announced the winners of awards for achievements in improving the business climate. The Agency honored the active work of ten Russian regions - Ulyanovsk, Tula, Kostroma, Vologda, Orel, Kaluga, Samara and Pskov regions, Bashkortostan and Tatarstan.

The union of chambers of commerce in Germany, the Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Italian-Russian and Russian-British Chamber of Commerce were also awarded "For assistance in the development of the investment climate in the Russian Federation".

Head of International office of ASI Anton Moskalenkov said that foreign partners of the Agency make significant efforts in order to maximum preserve the presence in the Russian market despite political differences: "Virtually all business representatives, whom we communicate with, plan to stay in Russia and focus on the localization of production."

As a part of the ceremony the winners of a national business award "Business success" were announced. The task of the contest is finding the best projects and best practices in developing business environment at the regional and municipal levels, and their further replication. This year the awards were given to 19 projects in three categories - "Way to Success" (creation of high-producing jobs, high-efficiency investments), "For useful" (social business) and "Aerobatics" (training of professional staff for new branches of industry).
