The First Overseas Wholly-Owned Manufacturing Base of XCMG is Founded in Brazil

Government officials, representatives of enterprises and the media, and more than 600 people attended the ceremony

POUSO ALEGRE, Brazil, June 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On June 6, 2014, the completion and roll-out ceremony of the manufacturing base of XCMG, Brazil was held in Pouso Alegre, Minas, Brazil. Government officials, representatives of enterprises and the media, and more than 600 people attended the ceremony.

As the first overseas wholly-owned manufacturing base of XCMG, the Brazilian manufacturing base covers an area of 800,000 square meters with 2 billion dollars invested in its first phase of the project, and has an annual production capacity of 7,000 for its main construction machinery products, including mobile cranes, hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders, compaction machinery, motor graders, etc. At the same time, in order to be better adapt to Brazil's working conditions, XCMG has founded its R & D center which fuses its home technical resources, forming a strong fundamental research center, application research center, detection and experimental center.

XCMG's Brazil manufacturing base is accredited by the Brazilian government, construction machinery associations and local partners. When it comes to XCMG, the local government says that XCMG's investment preference for Brazil not only provides jobs for local residents, but also enriches the variety of construction machines in the Brazilian market and accelerates the infrastructure of construction and promotes the cultural communication and integration.

As one of the largest construction machinery manufacturers, XCMG ranks 5th in the world's construction machinery industry, and has an annual revenue exceeding RMB 100 billion. In addition, XCMG products have been exported to 167 countries and regions around the world. In 2011, XCMG successfully acquired AMCA and FT, two components manufacturers from the Netherlands and Germany. In July 2012, XCMG merged with German manufacturer Schwing Stetter, which is known as the world pioneer of concrete machinery. In October 2013, XCMG officially opened its Europe GmbH, R&D Centre and procurement center in Germany.
