Astana presents anti-crisis plan

On May 21-23 Kazakhstan capital welcomes the participants of Astana Economic Forum

ASTANA, April 28, 2014 /Media Agency Success K/ -- On May 21st-23rd Kazakhstan capital welcomes the participants of Astana Economic Forum. The Forum will present the Draft concept of the World Anti-Crisis Plan for the UN member states.

It so happens that a fight against global economic crisis starts after it has been disseminated and damaged the economies of the majority of the developed countries. Today, our experts, warning us about the consequences of reckless money emission, building capacity in external debts are similar to an ancient fortune teller Cassandra that nobody has listened to. How to make country leaders, which developing nations’ economies depend on, to refuse from ineffective measures and sit down to draft global anti-crisis plan?

These sophisticated questions are the topics of discussion not for the first time at annual Astana Economic Forum. Initiated by the President of the Republic of Kazakshtan Nursultan Nazarbayev, about 10 000 foreign delegates have visited the Forum since 2008, including more than 350 political leaders and 17 Nobel laureates.

In December 2011 Nursultan Nazarbayev addressed world community with G-Global initiative and a proposal to host World Anti-Crisis Conference in Astana eventually viewing a purpose to develop the Draft Concept of the World Anti-Crisis Plan (CWAP) in addressing long-term effects of world financial-economic crisis for the UN member-states. Hence, if the majority of international community has remained “overboard” when members of large international clubs would discuss economic or political problems of the planet in a narrow circle, then today each one of us has a right to take part in talks on the development and discussions of main directions of the Anti-Crisis Plan. Information communication platform G-Global, that has united experts of international organisations and financial institutions, the academia, analysts and practitioners, political and public figures, gives us this opportunity. At present, the portal has published 13 000 reports and research works, 45 000 expert observations, and about 300 video-conferences.

During VII Astana Economic Forum, which takes place on May 21st-23rd 2014, a number of international organisations will hold events of the UN family, International Monetary Fund, International Organisation for Migration, the Renovating Bretton Woods Committee, UNCTAD, OSCE, the Club of Madrid, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Nobel International Fund, the International Trade Centre, the World Energy Council, and the World Customs Organisation. This world scale event will be covered by international media agencies CBS, BBC, China Economic Net, China Economic Daily, Associated Press, Finanz und Wirtschaft and others.

According to Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists Association representatives- one of the main organisers of AEF -2014- to date, more than 450 VIP guests have confirmed their participation who are leaders in the world of politics, business, largest international organisations and transnational companies, Nobel laureates and prominent economic scholars. The Forum gives an opportunity to build network, to hold business meetings and negotiations, to receive firsthand information about the latest developments and agreements in the field of innovations, mining, energy and other sectors of the economy.

On March 15th a call for proposals and opinions has closed, and developers of the Draft Concept of the World Anti-Crisis Plan for the UN member-states are ready to present it to a general public. So, how to survive the effects of global recession? We will hear an answer on this question in May 2014 in Astana.
