SHENZHEN, China, Nov. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- At China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) 2013, which will be held from November 16-21, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) will once again demonstrate its achievements achieved over a decade in the field of the Internet of Things (IOT). It will be the third year for CAS to successively display IOT technologies, applications and solutions at CHTF.
At CHTF 2013, under the theme of "Sensing China" CAS will send more than 30 research institutes and local cooperation organizations to demonstrate over 118 projects. Typical IOT technologies and products applied in national security, livelihood, agriculture, industry, and city management will be the focus of the exhibition.
CAS will demonstrate three categories at Hall 5 of Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center: Innovation, Industrial Application, and Technologies and Products. Projects like "Platform of Integration", "To Sense the Hall", "IOT of Agricultural Resources and Food Safety", "Intelligent Vision" and solutions for the intelligent industry, environmental monitoring and others will be the focus.
Based on proprietary technologies related to IOT information security, front-end sensing, and cloud computation software, Platform of Integration will reveal typical applications in intelligent agriculture and industry, technologies for livelihood, intelligent transportation, and health care. At the CHTF exhibition hall, "To Sense the Hall" will build up a high-speed wireless chain communication network, a wireless environment sensing network, and several sub-systems for counting of the number of people, personal area location, calculation of energy consumption, and video sensing to display the results perceived in real time at the Platform of Integration via wireless/wired transmission and multi-media measures.
This year, CAS will continue its pursuit to answer people's demands for innovation in their lives by unveiling the academy's achievements in IOT, cloud computation and other new generation information technologies, as well as its technological innovations in supporting China to cultivate strategic emerging industries via the demonstrations of Innovative Interactions, Industrial Application, and Products & Technologies.
