EVERETT, Washington, Aug. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Wes Pringle has been named President of Fluke Corporation. Pringle, who has been serving as President of Fluke Industrial, is now responsible for all Fluke global businesses, including Fluke Calibration, Fluke Biomedical and Fluke Automation. Pringle succeeds Barbara Hulit, Fluke President since 2005.
Pringle joined Fluke in 2012 from Whirlpool Corp. where he was the senior vice president of Integrated Business Units and was responsible for several consumer and commercial businesses. Prior to his tenure with Whirlpool, he spent more than ten years with major-brand corporations Warner Lambert, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson. He held progressively larger international leadership roles culminating in President/General Manager for Consumer Healthcare USA for Johnson & Johnson.
Fluke has also expanded the geographical responsibilities of Herman Warnshuis, Vice President, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Russia (EMEA). In addition to multiple office and manufacturing locations in Europe and the United Kingdom, Warnshuis is responsible for Fluke subsidiaries in Russia and Dubai and robust distributor relationships in Africa. The appointment is consistent with the long-term growth of Warnshuis' role and importance within Fluke and expands his geographic responsibility.
Extending Warnshuis' responsibility over the entire EMEA region is the latest move by Fluke to better serve its customers. Since establishing its first foreign subsidiary in The Netherlands, in 1975, Fluke has grown its European operations to include design centers in the UK, Germany, and Austria and Fluke representatives in 30 European countries. In the last two years, Fluke has established both a full subsidiary and a service center in Moscow and has opened a subsidiary in Dubai.
"Herman has led Fluke Europe very well during difficult macro-economic conditions," said Fluke President Wes Pringle. "We owe considerable thanks to the strength and wisdom shown by Herman and his team. I look forward to Herman applying those same talents to this larger geographic region."
