BEIJING, July 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- China's National Photography Art Exhibition themed "Dream of Lushan and Connect with China," held an award ceremony in Beijing recently. The exhibition was jointly hosted by China Photographers Association and Jiangxi province's Lushan Mountain Scenic Spot Administration. On the same day, China's national touring exhibition for all award-winning works at the exhibition kicked off at its first stop, Beijing Wangfujing pedestrian street. The touring exhibition will last five days, with 134 pieces of gold, silver and bronze medal winning works and outstanding photography works selected at the Lushan Mountain National Photography Art Exhibition on show.
Lushan Mountain is known the world over for having "the most beautiful mountain scenery under heaven." A cool summer makes Lushan Mountain an ideal resort and a place to cool off during the summer months and has attracted numerous visitors from all over the world.
The exhibition collected photography works for Lushan Mountain from photography enthusiasts and the public from June 28, 2012 to February 28, 2013. At the end of the collection period, the organizing committee received more than 6,090 entries in two categories: natural scenery and historic and cultural interest.
These masterpieces will be exhibited on the tour in many places including Beijing and Shanghai in the coming months, allowing the public to better understand and become familiar with Lushan Mountain.
When the Photography Exhibition was held, guests from the China Photographers Association, accompanied by the media and award winning photographers, visited the Photography Exhibition on Wangfujing pedestrian street, and commented on the winning works. China Photographers Association vice president Luo Gengqian delivered a warm speech, noting the Association has been committed to promoting and supporting photographers and to helping them continuously improve their cultural awareness and artistic levels, as well as to developing photography education, and cultivating photography talents. As an organizer, China Photographers Association gave full support to and made advocacy through the whole tour of this National Photography Art Exhibition themed "Dream of Lushan and Connect with China," ensuring the exhibition's high requirements and quality. We believe the exhibition will allow more people to learn about Lushan Mountain, as well as play an active role in promoting the development of culture and tourism in Lushan Mountain.
