ZURICH, Feb. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Evernote, the company that's helping the world remember everything, today announced the further global expansion of Evernote Business, a solution that allows companies to leverage the cumulative knowledge and contribution of every employee.

Following the successful launch in December 2012, Evernote Business is now available throughout the European Union as well as in Norway and Iceland. Beginning next week, the service will be also available to businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

More than 2,000 businesses have already signed up for Evernote Business following the initial rollout to just France, Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, and the USA in December 2012. It is expected that Evernote Business availability will expand to an additional 50 countries in the first half of 2013, with markets in EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific being added in the coming months.

More than two-thirds(1) of Evernote's 50 million users are already using Evernote to increase their workday productivity. And with 70% of Evernote users in countries outside of the United States, the global small and medium sized business market represents tremendous opportunity for Evernote Business.

Designed to meet the needs of small and medium sized businesses (SMB), as well as workgroups in larger companies. Evernote Business introduces features to the core Evernote product that facilitates information discovery and allows for simple deployment across an entire group of users. With Evernote Business, employees can capture and recall important information, while seamlessly discovering what others in the organization know about these topics, eliminating wasted effort and filling knowledge gaps.

Newly appointed Evernote COO Ken Gullicksen said:

"We are grateful for the support of so many of our existing individual users that have brought Evernote Business into their workplaces.

"One of the biggest challenges facing fast-growth businesses like Evernote is how they can discover the knowledge of individuals and groups within their companies. Evernote Business addresses this by allowing every employee to collect their own knowledge, while also helping them to instantly discover what their coworkers know. It helps Evernote to operate as a small company even as it grows."

"We learn from our business customers every day and continue to enhance the product to meet their needs."

Evernote Business Features

Evernote Business is built on the same core set of features that make up Evernote's popular consumer service, with the addition of functionality designed specifically to meet the productivity needs of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as workgroups in larger companies.

Business Notebooks

Individuals can place work documents, projects and research into Business Notebooks, which they can then share with coworkers or publish to the company's Business Library. Business Notebooks and personal notebooks are visually distinct from one another.

Business Library

The Business Library is a single destination for Business Notebooks shared by individuals, as well as important company information posted by administrators. As the company grows, so does its accumulated knowledge in the Business Library, making it a useful resource for new and existing employees.

Improved Sharing

Evernote Business allows employees to share important information within a team, across a department, with the entire company, or with outside clients. Permissions are simple to set, and if an employee leaves the company, personal notes go with them, while Business Notes remain, enabling complete knowledge continuity.

Knowledge Discovery

The new Related Notes feature allows for serendipitous discovery of valuable information by displaying relevant content from a company's collective knowledge. Browsing, searching and creating a new note triggers the display of Related Notes from an employee's own account and from any joined Business Notebooks, as well as those in the Business Library.

Simple Deployment

The centralized Admin Console allows IT administrators to easily grow the deployment size, as well as review and manage user access and permissions for the entire organization. Billing is straightforward and handled by credit card or invoice.

Higher Monthly Upload Allowance

Evernote Business users can create up to 2GB of new content each month in their personal notebooks, which is double the Evernote Premium allowance. The company receives an additional 2GB per month for each user that is shared among all Business Notebooks.

Evernote Business is available today for Evernote for Mac, iOS, Android and Windows Desktop. Beginning today, Related Notes will display in the Mac client, Evernote Clearly for Chrome and Firefox and Evernote Web Clipper for Chrome.

Priced at 10USD per user per month, Evernote Business offers an expanded suite of Evernote functionality that includes all the capabilities of Evernote, Evernote Premium and the new

Business Premium features.

Evernote Business will now be available in the following markets:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and USA.

Beginning February 12, the service will reach Australia and New Zealand.
