BEIJING, March 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- China Central Television's finance-focused channel, CCTV-2, recently included in its programming a news report on Beijing Perfect World Network Technology Co., Ltd. (Perfect World), a leading online game developer and operator based in China. The report ran under the title of "Focus on M&A Fever" and focused on the development model and experience of Perfect World, as the Chinese online game market player aggressively seeks overseas expansion, showing once again how the firm is receiving a great deal of attention from China's mainstream media.

The report talked about how Perfect World, a leading online game exporter in China, has increased its core competitiveness through overseas M&A's and has achieved outstanding results in the new markets it has chosen to enter. Following a long period during which the company perfected its products and its approach to the market, Perfect World has developed a well-established framework and fully succeeded in the localization of Chinese online games in international markets.

In an interview by CCTV, Perfect World Interactive Entertainment president Qi Zhu, said: "Overseas M&A is the methodology around our overseas footprint rather than a 'mission' for Perfect World. The ultimate goal of Perfect World is to find just the right formula for a premium game without borders, creating a fully holistic global integration of game cultures and game research and developing a truly globalized game." Qi added emphatically: "Perfect World will base its continued growth on an autonomous operation overseas. The model takes the habits and preferences of local players into consideration while maintaining the absolute highest of standards as a way of thanking the many players that have supported us through our entire development and growth process."
