NEW YORK, Dec. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LBi, the global marketing and technology agency, today announced its on-going relationship with Americans Elect, the first non-partisan political nominating process.

In June of 2011, LBi began working with Americans Elect to design and build AmericansElect.org, the first secure online Presidential nominating process in the nation's history. The site experience sets out to hold a national caucus where all registered voters can participate regardless of political affiliation or the state in which they live, and is designed to handle traffic of up to 15-20 million people. On AmericansElect.org, the people will draft the candidates, shape the debate and nominate the winner. In June of 2012, the site will host the first ever non-partisan nominating convention to elect a President. The winning Americans Elect ticket will be on the ballot in the Presidential election in November 2012. There are already over 2 million signatures collected, more than half of what is needed to get the Americans Elect ticket on the presidential ballot nationwide.

"We are very proud to finally announce our work with Americans Elect," said Luke Taylor, CEO of LBi. "Building a brand from scratch is a challenging process, especially when you bring national politics into the equation. We are thoroughly enjoying stretching our creative and technical muscles to rise to this transformational challenge."

LBi is responsible for the advertising, as well as media planning and buying, that will inform the American public of this new alternative to the traditional two-party nominating process. The platform aligns perfectly with LBi's business philosophy of using new technologies to transform businesses.

"We've been busy architecting a new campaign that will empower people to feel that they are more in charge of the election next year," said Cedric Devitt, Executive Creative Director, LBi, "It's about making Americans Elect a difficult option for voters to ignore in 2012."

Americans Elect is the first non-partisan presidential nomination that will use the Internet to nominate a 2012 presidential candidate and be on the ballot in all 50 states—creating more participation in the democratic process. It was founded by pioneers in direct technology and citizens from across the political spectrum who are concerned that political divisions are keeping our nation's biggest problems from being solved. Americans Elect is a non-profit organization that is not affiliated with any political party, ideology or candidate.
