On November 15-17, the "Territory of Culture" exhibition will be open at the Business Venue of the VII St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, in the Marble Hall of the Russian Museum of Ethnography. The project mission is to acquaint the participants and guests of the Forum with the achievements of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of culture, in tracing the dynamics of the development of cultural institutions through colorful projects and statistical data, and by identifying the key areas of cultural development of the country in 2018. It is expected that Pavel Stepanov, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, will take part in the opening ceremony of the "Territory of Culture" exhibition.
The exhibition features 9 information stands that demonstrate the key areas of work of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation: from the functioning of museums, theaters, libraries to the projects in the field of tourism, protection, restoration, and creation of registers of cultural objects. For the most capacious presentation of the impressive results, the exhibition organizers had chosen the most concise format, infographics.
For instance, the guests and participants of the forum will get to know the rating of the Russian box-office cinematic hits and the top 15 key exhibitions of 2018. Also, they will find out how much the interest to the professional occupation in culture has grown, and how the program of restoration of the cultural heritage objects is being implemented. With the Year of Theater coming up, the information from the “Theater Boom 2012-2018” might draw attention of many. Guests of the Business Venue will learn: how many virtual concert halls operate in Russia, what results have been achieved from the introduction of AR and VR technologies, which theater is the most visited one in the country, and will also be able to appreciate the impressive results of the search expeditions, and much more.
A special place in the “Territory of Culture” project is taken by the stand dedicated to the international cultural project “Russian Seasons” in Italy. The "Russian Seasons" is the major project focused on the introduction of Russian cultural traditions to the European audience. For the first time, “Russian Seasons” had been staged in 2017 in Japan and gathered over 3.5 million viewers in 42 cities across the country. In 2018, the festival is hosted by Italy. By the end of 2018, more than 310 events will take place. Over 6 million people are expected to attend the "Russian Seasons" events in Italy.
In the course of preparation of the interactive exhibition, the materials had been provided by the Russian Military Historical Society, by the Russian Seasons ANCO, and by the following divisions within the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation: Department of Museums, Department of State Support of Fine and Folk Arts, Department of Cinematography, Department of State Protection of Cultural Heritage, Department of Science and Education, Department of Investments and Property, Department of Regional Development and Priority Projects, Department of Information and Digital Development.
