MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered condolences to his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier and German Chancellor Angela Merkel over the truck incident in the city of Munster, the Kremlin press service said in a statement on Saturday.

"The Russian president conveyed his sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims and wishes of a speedy recovery to those injured," the statement reads.

On Saturday, a 49-yearl-old German citizen drove a truck into a group of people in downtown Munster. The incident killed three, including the driver who shot himself, and left 20 to 30 injured. According to regional authorities, there is no information indicating that it could have been a terrorist attack.
