MINSK, April 6. /TASS/. Participants of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which took place on Friday, drafted documents on combating crime and countering the financing of international terrorism, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated.

"The council went well. We have prepared a number of documents on fostering economic cooperation, combating crime, preventing money laundering and countering terror funding," the Russian top diplomat said. "We have discussed our next steps in the sphere of foreign policy coordination."

"We have drawn up a list of subjects for CIS countries to jointly address in international organizations, and approved the Russian-Belarusian initiative on preparing a document which expresses our concern about the erosion of the principle of non-interference in the domestic affairs of sovereign states," Lavrov stressed.

He added that the foreign ministers had touched upon several issues, which would be submitted for consideration by the CIS countries’ leaders.
