Putin-Kim Jong Un summit ‘not on agenda yet’, says Kremlin aide

A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has not been scheduled yet

MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has not been scheduled yet, said Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov.

"So far this is not on the agenda. However, I can tell you that the President has set a meeting with the Chinese leader’s special representative in Moscow on April 5," said Ushakov. It is expected that Putin will be informed about the outcome of last week’s meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The implementation of the Russian-Chinese road map will also be discussed during the meeting.

"We will see how it goes. But we believe that these steps [the meeting between the Chinese and North Korean leaders] are positive," the aide stated.
