All expelled Russian diplomats, family members leave Washington embassy without incident

WASHINGTON, March 31. /TASS/. All Russian diplomats, who earlier in the week were ordered by the US Administration to leave the country, and their families have safely left the premises of Russia’s embassy in Washington on Saturday, a TASS correspondent reported from the scene.

Many Russian diplomats, some carrying Russian flags, gathered at the embassy’s premises to say goodbye to their colleagues.

The diplomats will be taken to Moscow by a special flight soon.

A TASS correspondent reported from the scene on Saturday that there had been neither incidents nor provocations before two buses left the embassy’s premises at 13:00 and 15:00 local time (20:00 and 22:00 Moscow time, respectively).

The embassy’s spokesman, Nikolai Lakhonin, confirmed to TASS that no incidents were reported during the departure from the Russian diplomatic mission. "Yes, I confirm this," he said.
