Expulsions of Russian diplomats to trigger symmetrical response from Russia, says senator

The senator believes Russia will be retaliating actions of this kind symmetrically "until foreign politicians come to their senses"

MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. Russia will respond symmetrically to the expulsion of Russian diplomats from the US or any other country their diplomats will be told to leave Russia on the basis of reciprocity, Konstantin Kosachev, the chairman of foreign policy committee in the upper house of Russian parliament said on Monday.

"My proposal is to read these reports in the following manner - the US has passed a decision on expulsion of 60 Russian diplomats from the US and 60 American diplomats from the Russian Federation,’’ Kosachev tweeted in Facebook commenting on the expulsions of Russian diplomats from the US, Germany, France, Poland, "and some other North-Atlantic countries aligning with them."

"The US has passed a decision to close down one Russian consulate in the US and one US consulate in Russia," he went on. "Poland has decided to expel four Russian diplomats and four Polish diplomats from Russia."

Kosachev believes Russia will be retaliating actions of this kind symmetrically until foreign politicians come to their senses. "From now on, stops at all stations until they [Western decision-makers - TASS] come round."

"There’s very little hope for apologies because it’s not the apologies they kicked off this foul and extremely cynical game for," the senator indicated.
