ROME, December 1. /TASS/. Russia calls on UNESCO to take a more active part in the restoration of historical sites in Syria’s Aleppo, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday.

"We call on UNESCO to work more actively on the restoration of historical sites in Syria, in particular, in Aleppo," he said at the Mediterranean Dialogues international conference in Rome.
