MOSCOW, November 30. /TASS/. Relations of Moscow and Brussels today are at their lowest point, although there are positive signs in their development in the near future, Russia’s envoy to the EU Vladimir Chizhov said on Thursday.
Speaking at a roundtable of the Federation Council (upper house of parliament) on Russian-EU relations, Chizhov said: "Today’s meeting is devoted to what we will have in the future: cooperation, partnership or confrontation (in relations with the EU). I dare say that there will be all these three elements, we hope in a different degree."
"Our relations have known the ups and downs, and now they are certainly at the lowest point," the diplomat said. "Although, we see some positive signs for the near future, without mentioning the long-term prospect.".
