MOSCOW, March 30. /TASS/. Moscow confirms that the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Russia is scheduled for late April, the Foreign Ministry said after the 13th round of strategic dialogue at the level of first deputy foreign ministers in Tokyo.
"The sides discussed prospects of further developing political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, inter-parliamentary contacts, cultural and humanitarian ties in the context of preparation for the visit of the Japanese prime minister to Russia scheduled for the third ten-day period of April," the ministry said.
The diplomats also exchanged views on the global and regional agenda, including the situation in the Asia-Pacific Region, Europe and in the Middle East.
"Another round of strategic dialogue will be held in Moscow," the ministry said.
Japanese media reports said earlier that Abe planned to pay an official visit to Russia on April 27-28.
