Kremlin says Chechnya’s leader in control of situation in republic

Putin "highly appreciates efforts of both law enforcement agencies and regional authorities to ensure law and order" in Chechnya

MOSCOW, March 24. /TASS/. Chechnya’s leader Ramzan Kadyrov is in control of the situation in the Russian North Caucasus republic and no country is immune to the threat of terrorism, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.

"Kadyrov is unconditionally in control of the situation in the republic," Peskov said, noting Russia’s President Vladimir Putin "highly appreciates efforts of both law enforcement agencies and regional authorities to ensure law and order" in Chechnya.

"No country in the world can be immune to attacks of terrorists. Unfortunately, they can happen everywhere," he added.
