Moscow, Tokyo agree to hold new 'two plus two' meeting in Russia

TOKYO, March 20. /TASS/. Moscow and Tokyo have agreed to hold another "two plus two" meeting between the two countries' foreign and defense ministers in Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said following talks in the similar format on Monday.

"We agreed to hold the next 'two plus two' ministerial meeting in Russia. Our invitation was accepted by our counterparts," he said.

The first Russian-Japanese "two plus two" meeting was held in Tokyo in November 2013. A decision to hold another round in accordance with the same formula was made during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Japan last December.
