Russia’s emergencies ministry dispatches yet another humanitarian convoy to Donbass

The convoy will deliver more than 500 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes, primarily baby foods

MOSCOW, March 16. /TASS/. Russia’s emergencies ministry has sent yet another, 62nd, humanitarian convoy to Donbass.

"The convoy set off from the emergencies ministry’s Donskoi rescue center in the southern Rostov region at 04:00 Moscow time. The convoy of more than 40 trucks is heading to the Russian-Ukrainian border. Customs and border procedures will be carried out as provided by law at two checkpoint in Donetsk and Matveyev Kurgan," a ministry’s spokesman told TASS on Thursday.

The convoy will deliver more than 500 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes, primarily baby foods.

Russia has been providing relief aid to people living in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions since August 2014. More than 66,000 tonnes have been delivered to southeastern UKraine since then.
