Russia satisfied with results of Russia-NATO Council

The discussions focused on Ukraine, Afghanistan and security in Europe

MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Moscow is satisfied with the results of Monday’s meeting of the Russia-NATO Council, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov told TASS.

"We’re satisfied with how the Russian-NATO Council worked today," he said. "The meeting was held in a business-life atmosphere."

After the session, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the two sides had held an open and frank discussion of the problems having fundamental importance for their security.

The discussions focused on Ukraine, Afghanistan and security in Europe.
