Putin to meet Eurasian Economic Commission head on December 8

Vladimir Putin is expected to hold a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives

MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin is expected to meet with Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan and to hold a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) on Thursday, the Kremlin press service said on Wednesday.

"Putin will be receiving Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (Tigran) Sargsyan," the Kremlin said, noting the two men were expected to "exchange opinions on the topical issues of European integration and to discuss the agenda of a meeting the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council is scheduled to hold in St. Petersburg on December 26."

"Later on, the head of state will be chairing a next meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI)," it said. "The council members are due to focus on implementation of three main directions, namely ‘New Business,’ ‘Young Professionals’ and ‘Social Projects’ for the next year, 2017.".
