MOSCOW, December 2. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has held a meeting with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See, and Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States within the Holy See's Secretariat of State, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.
"During the meeting, the sides expressed mutual satisfaction with the condition of Russian-Vatican relations, discussed several relevant bilateral issues, including cooperation in the cultural-humanitarian sphere," the foreign ministry said.
The sides also paid special attention to issues of settling crisis situations in the world, as well as to cooperation in the framework of multilateral formats, in particular, at UN and OSCE, on protecting Christian populations in conflict zones and defending humanistic values.
