ROME, December 1. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry will meet in Rome on Friday, a source in the Russian delegation has confirmed.
"On Friday, the minister is scheduled for talks with the US secretary of state," the source told reporters in Rome.
Lavrov and Kerry will also take part on Friday in Rome MED 2016 - Mediterranean Dialogues international conference.
Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryakov said earlier that the top diplomats of Russia and the US will discuss in detail Ukraine within the context of November 29 Normandy Four negotiations at the foreign ministerial level.
According to Ryabkov, they will also focus on the situation in Syria, in particular on issues of further reducing risks for residents of Aleppo and determining militants’ numerical strength.
