MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Global security depends on countries’ capabilities to unite in order to wage war against terrorists active in the Middle East, Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov said during the opening ceremony of the Primakov Readings International Conference.

Ushakov pointed out that the future of the Middle East would influence "not only the countries of the region but the also the entire world." "This is the region where the decisive battle against the common threat of terrorism is being fought," he stated. "Global security depends on the world community’s ability to unite and contain the terrorists."

The Russian presidential aide noted that the proposals made at the current conference would "undoubtedly help reach this goal.".
