MOSCOW, November 25 /TASS/. A Federal Guard Service (FSO) general has been detained on suspicion of serious legal violations, the FSO Press and Public Relations Office said on Friday.
"At the moment, General Lopyrev has been detained. An investigation has been launched," the FSO’s Press and Public Relations Office said adding that the service was clarifying what offences the general had committed.
"The Federal Guard Service carried out an internal investigation of its units stationed in the Caucasus, which revealed signs of serious violations of valid Russian legislation," the FSO Press Office said.
"The materials of the probe have been turned over to investigative bodies," the press service added.
