MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit the Republic of Peru on November 19-20 to take part in the 24th summit of the heads of state and governments of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member-states, the Kremlin press office said on Thursday.
The APEC summit will focus on the world economy, integration processes in the Asia-Pacific region and the creation of the region's free trade area, the Kremlin press office said.
The summit will also focus on the issues of food safety, assistance to small and medium business and the expansion of cooperation in the educational sphere. The forum’s program envisages meetings with the APEC Business Advisory Council and the management of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
"Following the results of these events, the forum will adopt a Declaration to reflect the agreed approaches of the APEC economies to developing versatile cooperation in the region," the Kremlin press office said in a statement.
Also, Russian President Putin’s bilateral meetings are planned with the heads of state and governments attending the APEC summit.
