Russian, Qatari diplomats confirm willingness to maintain dialogue

MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. Russia’s Special Presidential Envoy to the Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Qatar’s Ambassador to Russia, Saoud al-Mahmoud, have confirmed both countries’ willingness to maintain political dialogue on key issues on the global agenda, the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement. The meeting was held in view of the ambassador wrapping up his diplomatic tour of duty in Russia.

"The meeting’s participants confirmed Moscow and Doha’s mutual readiness to further develop an entire range of bilateral cooperation particularly maintaining an active political dialogue on the key issues of the regional and global agenda, enhancing trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties," the statement reads.

The Russian foreign ministry’s ‘For Interaction’ badge was awarded to Saoud al-Mahmoud at the meeting for his "significant personal input into the development of the Russian-Qatari relations," the ministry said.
