Russian premier, Kyrgyzstan’s president discuss cooperation within EAEU

The sides have discussed bilateral trade, economy and cooperation

BISHKEK, November 3. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Kyrgyzstan’s President Almazbek Atambayev have discussed trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, the press service of the Russian government reported on Thursday.

"The two sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation with a focus on trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as interaction within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), noting good opportunities for work in the emerging and single markets," the press service said.

Medvedev and Atambayev also exchanged views on the long-term objectives of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in the context of a meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State underway in Bishkek.
