MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Representatives of Russia and the EU will discuss the situation with foreign terrorists during the consultations in November, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Oleg Syromolotov, told reporters on Tuesday.
"Firstly, it is the current counter-terrorism situation in the world, the situation with foreign terrorists, gunmen, the situation with countering violent extremism and some other issues," said Syromolotov answering a question on the agenda of the consultations.
Russia and the EU are also discussing the issues of control over the movement of foreign terrorists, Syromolotov noted. "This concerns, first and foremost, efforts to counter foreign terrorists. There is the issue of ensuring international control over the movement of foreign terrorists. No single country can tackle this issue alone, it must be addressed together," he said.
"Such negotiations with the EU are underway," Syromolotov added.
Russia’s ambassador to the EU, Vladimir Chizhov, earlier said that the next round of the Russia-EU dialogue on anti-terrorism is to be held in Moscow in November. Taking part in the consultations will be Deputy Secretary General of the EU’s External Action Service, Pedro Serrano, and Counter-Terrorism Coordinator Gilles de Kerchove. Russia will be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov.
