MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. A total of 51 ceasefire violations by illegal armed groups were reported during the day in Syria, the Russian center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria said in its regular daily bulletin posted on the Russian defense ministry’s official website on Tuesday.
"During the day, a total of 51 ceasefire violations by illegal armed groups were reported during the day in Syria, including 29 - in the province of Aleppo, 17 - in the province of Damascus, four - in the province of Hama, and one - in the province of Latakia. Armed groups which have declared their joining the regime of cessation of hostilities conducted fire from home-made multiple missile launcher systems, mortars and firearms at the settlement of Azizi (twice) and the Hai al-Antari district in the province of Aleppo; at the settlements of Douma, Harasta, Bala al-Qadima, Kafer Batna, Bleliye, Jobar, and height 612 in the province of Damascus; and height 565 in the province of Latakia," the center said.
In the province of Aleppo, paramilitary terrorist groups shelled from home-made multiple missile launcher systems, artillery systems, anti-tank guided missile systems, grenade launchers, mortars and firearms the settlements of Hananu Shimaliya, Bakirtaya, Benyamin, Ansar, Shurfa and Maarata, and Aleppo’s districts of al-Maydam (twice), Dahiya al-Assad, 1070 (three times), Hai al-Ansari (three times), Ashrafiya, al-Khalidiya, Hai al-Antari (twice), Sheikh Maksoud, , a cement plant and storehouses, the Castello trade center, the Al-Assad military academy (twice) and the Al-Nayrab airport.
"In the province of Damascus, terrorists shelled the settlements of Hawsh-Nasri (twice), Hawsh Harabu, a medical service school in the settlement of Harasta (twice), the Sahat al-Abbasyin square, the Ibn al-Walid hospital (twice), a sports ground and a textiles factory and positions of government forces in the settlement of Jobar," the bulletin says.
In the province of Hama, terrorists shelled the settlements of Maan and Kawbak, positions of government troops near the settlement of Skandriya and a heat plant in the settlement of Maharda.
No air strikes were delivered by the Russian air group and the Syrian air force at armed opposition group which have declared cessation of hostilities and informed the Russian or U.S. reconciliation centers about their locations, as follows from the bulletin.
The Russian Defense Ministry declared the establishment of the reconciliation center on February 23. It is headquartered at the Hmeimim air base, Latakia province. The center was set up in line with agreements reached by Russia and the United States to facilitate the negotiations between the Syrian government and opposition and to organize humanitarian deliveries.
