BENAULIM, October 15. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has welcomed the proposal to create a roadmap of marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and India.

Speaking at the talks in the extended format, Putin said the Russian-Indian relations are traditionally built on the basis of friendship, cooperation and strategic partnership.

"Indeed, next year we will mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations. This is a very good proposal to create a kind of a roadmap to mark this fine date properly," he said.

The president noted the multifaceted development of bilateral relations, including in the military and technical area. This meeting gives a chance to discuss all areas of bilateral cooperation and make another step forward to enhancing the Russian-Indian ties, he said.
