BEIJING, October 11. /TASS/. The attempts by third countries to drive a wedge between Russia and China and harm their relations will remain fruitless, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said on Tuesday.
"I’m confident that Russia and China currently have the highest level of strategic relations over the entire period of China-Russia relationships. And our foes can hardly damage this anyhow," the Russian deputy defense minister said at the Xiangshan international security forum in Beijing.
The Xiangshan security forum has been organized by China’s Defense Ministry as well as by the China Association of Military Science and the Chinese Institute of International Strategic Studies.
The first Xiangshan security forum took place in 2006 and was subsequently held once every two years. Since 2015, this international event for the discussion of security problems has been held annually. The forum will complete its work on October 12.
