ORENBURG, October 3. /TASS/. Russia will try to use its influence for solving the conflicts around the world during its presidency over the UN Security Council, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.
"We know that a lot of absolutely urgent issues are on the agenda. Russia will certainly continue to use its influence and such an important international policy mechanism as the UN Security Council, in order to bolster international efforts for the solution of pressing crisis situations," Peskov told journalists.
Russia took over the UN Security Council presidency on October 1, the first meeting under Russia’s presidency is due to be held later on Monday.
