Russia, Germany underline imporance of Minsk deal implementation

MOSCOW, September 29. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier had a telephone conversation on Thursday, in the course of which they underlined the importance of synchronizing the efforts to attain security in eastern Ukraine and to fulfill the Minsk accords, a report uploaded by the Russian Foreign Ministry at its official website said.

"The two ministers exchanged opinion on the implementation of the Minsk accords in the context of the agreements on disengagement of the conflicting sides and with the account of the meetings at different levels planned for the future in the format of the Normandy Four and the Ukraine Contact Group," the ministry said. "The sides stressed the importance of synchronizing the processes of assuring security in southeastern Ukraine and implementation of the political obligations fixed in the Complex of Measures adopted in Minsk."
